Ohiowa Promo is a female-owned promotional products distributor based in Columbus, Ohio, proudly serving clients across the United States. Powered by HALO—a national leader in branded merchandise—we help businesses of all sizes bring their brands to life through creative, strategic, and high-impact promotional solutions.
Founder Abigail Cress Brown launched Ohiowa Promo after a career in sports and advertising. She began in Minor League Baseball before moving into agency roles in Chicago and Cincinnati, where she worked with national brands including Verizon Wireless, PlayStation, Bush’s Beans, Meijer, and Chiquita.
After starting a family with her husband, Abigail returned to her roots—literally. With family ties (and a college internship) in the promotional products industry, she was drawn to the opportunity to help others connect and grow their own brands. Today, she partners with clients on everything from retail merchandise and employee recognition to client gifting and school spiritwear.
What’s with the name?
Ohiowa (pronounced “Ohio-wah”) comes from a wedding card Abigail and her husband Nate received. He’s an Ohio State alum—cue the famous “O-H-I-O” chant—and their wedding was in Abigail’s Iowa hometown. A guest merged the two into “OH-IO-WA” to celebrate their union. The name stuck, becoming a perfect symbol of their partnership—and now, this business.
